We believe an employee that is happy provides better service. We know
we treat people right because most of our employees have over 10 years of service,
and our average length of tenure exceeds 12 years. In fact, many of our employees
have over 20, or even 30 years of service. People don't stick around at any job
if they're not treated well.
Our ideal candidates are computer literate individuals who have
some experience in the fastener industry or related industries (hardware stores,
Home Depot, Lowes, etcetera). A candidate who has worked for another fastener
company and/or knows FASPAC software is perfect: we almost definitely have
a job opportunity for you.
We prefer some college education, but do not require it (except
for bookkeeping positions). If you speak more than one language, that's great
too. No matter what your skills, we could have a job for you. Just remember
you'll be working for the best screw in town. Think of all the fun you'll
have telling that to your friends. To work here you definitely need a sense
of humor.
Minimum requirements as of October 2006:
You must be 18 years old (16 years old for summer interns)
You must past a pre-employment drug-test and you must be able to pass
both drug and alcohol tests administered continuously at random.
You must have a high-school diploma (not required for some warehouse
jobs)
You must have a valid driver's license (some jobs may be exempt)
You must be fluent in English for office jobs. Warehouse jobs require
a minimum command of English, but if you can read this web page, you'll
be fine.
You must be a US Citizen or have a green card or other work permit.
There are other requirements that may vary depending on your select job,
Drivers: No DUI convictions or suspensions. No accidents within
five years. Minimum five years residency in Dade and/or Broward county.
Your valid driver's license must be from Florida.
Outside sales: You must own or lease your own car. Minimum three
years residency in South Florida. Your valid driver's license must
be from Florida.
Bookkeeping jobs: college diploma (AA ok) required.
